With the release of the super-hit movie, Baahubali, the Indian VFX industry witnessed a massive boost. Around 600 designers/animators from 17 VFX studios worked together to make the movie a reality. The Indian VFX industry is growing at a massive rate and even Hollywood is taking notice of it. The progress is significantly visible with India moving away from being just a visual effects post-production shop for Hollywood films like ‘Life of Pi’, ‘The Golden Compass’ etc, to actually having its own VFX Studios, Zentrix, Lighthouse Animation Studios, Prime Focus and Studio Eeksaurus. Thus, the number of studios in India along with increased collaboration among them has made the VFX industry – one with huge employment opportunities.
